Matthew R. Dubroff is a Professor of Theatre at Hampden-Sydney College. He is a founding member of Theatre Nohgaku and performs with them regularly. He is active as a teacher, director, designer, actor and musician. Dubroff has studied, trained and performed noh since 1988. He has been involved with the Noh Training Project as a student and teacher since 1990. He is also a teacher of the Alexander Technique and the Wu Style of Tai Ji.

Jubilith Moore, a founding member of Theatre Nohgaku, is an experienced teaching artist of theatre who specializes in noh and kyogen from Japan. She has studied noh extensively with Theatre Nohgaku founder Richard Emmert, Intangible Cultural Asset Akira Matsui and Kinue Oshima, all of the Kita School of Noh. She was Artistic Director of the San Francisco based Theatre of Yugen from 2001-14 and with the company for 21 years. It was there in 2003 she founded a semi-intense seasonal training program (Winter, Spring and Fall) modeled on Mr. Emmert’s Noh Training Project as well as an Apprenticeship Program designed to train and develop skilled performers for Yugen’s traditional kyogen in English repertoire as well as its contemporary work. Additionally she taught noh and kyogen for 18 years at the renowned Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts and now as a freelancer is often invited to teach workshops with high school and university communities internationally.
