SIIRI SCOTT is the Head of Acting and Directing in the Department of Film, Television and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame, where she coordinates classes, directs and prepares actors for graduate training and professional careers. She received her MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University and has directed, performed and taught at regional theatres in Chicago, Milwaukee, Los Angeles and Seattle. As a member of SAG and AFTRA, Siiri continues her film and television work; one of her films appeared at the Kiasma Theatre at the National Gallery of Finland. She has worked extensively as voice and dialect coach for the Notre Dame Summer Shakespeare Festival, performing the Queen in Cymbeline in her final year with the company. A resident of Chicago, Siiri recently directed a production of My Brilliant Divorce for the Irish Theatre of Chicago and plans to continue directing locally. Siiri studies and performs Japanese noh drama and is a proud member of the international company Theatre Nohgaku.
